At Sun, Hyperion Essbase has been the worldwide standard for analytics and forecasting for more than a decade. Over time, each geographic region of the company independently developed its own actuals and planning cubes, creating isolated data islands which made it very difficult to consolidate a worldwide plan or actuals data for reporting. • Consolidating actuals data from multiple geographic Hyperion Essbase cubes

• Automatically extract data from multiple Hyperion Essbase databases to a staging cube
• Then extract data from a staging cube to a master cube for financial reporting
• Ensure a fast, automated, and secure process
• Replicate a standardized chart of accounts
• Avoid downtime of their key financial reporting applications

• Reporting structures, accounts and cost centers are standardized across all cubes
