Star Analytics to Present at Northern California Oracle Applications User Group 2009 Training Day

Highlighting New Ways to Leverage Oracle Essbase for Financial Information Management

SAN MATEO, Calif., Jan. 20, 2009 – Star Analytics, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise data integration software for Financial Consolidation, Planning, Budgeting and Analysis, will participate in the NorCal OAUG 2009 Training Day on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Star Analytics Founder and Chief Technology Officer Quinlan Eddy will present a session titled “Extraction and Downstream use of Essbase Data: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.” The session will highlight technology advances that make it easier and more cost-effective for IT and Finance departments to access and share the rich financial data in Oracle Essbase. Based on direct experience with hundreds of successful enterprise customer deployments, Eddy will outline 12 methodologies for accessing Oracle Essbase data, metadata and security, including the advantages and challenges from a business and technical perspective.

Attendees can also preview the latest release of Star Integration Server at booth #30 in the Expo Hall. The demonstration will show how the world’s leading companies are using Star Integration Server to automate the integration and sharing of data from Oracle Hyperion and other finance applications with relational data stores and Business Intelligence (BI) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) applications.

Hosted by the NorCal OAUG, the 2009 Training Day covers the Oracle E-Business Suite, Siebel, Hyperion and Agile product lines.
