STAR ANALYTICS ATTRACTS ENTERPRISE SOFTWARE VETERAN TOM TORTOLANI TO LEAD PRODUCT STRATEGY

Pioneer and Inventor in Business Intelligence, Multidimensional Analysis and Financial Applications to Expand Star Analytics' Technology Leadership in Financial Data Warehousing

San Mateo, Calif., June 02, 2008 - Star Analytics, a leading provider of enterprise software to unify and share information across financial analysis applications, today announced the appointment of Thomas R. Tortolani to Vice President of Products. Tortolani will guide the product strategy and roadmap for Star Integration Server, a solution that allows enterprises to safeguard, manage, re-use and capitalize on financial information, supporting single-source reporting with standard reporting tools.

Tortolani brings an impressive 20 year career accelerating the adoption of financial enterprise software solutions for successful Silicon Valley companies. Working for Skytide, Aceva, Hyperion, Arbor Software and Pilot, he has architected product strategy throughout all key phases of a company's growth, from initial funding rounds as privately-held startup companies to strategic OEM and VAR partnerships, mergers, acquisitions and an initial public offering.

"We're extremely fortunate to add another top caliber leader to our management team," said Trevor Hughes, President & CEO of Star Analytics. "With over 20 years of experience driving product innovation and growing adoption for the most successful products in the business intelligence and enterprise software markets, Tom will be a tremendous asset as we accelerate the next phase of growth for Star Integration Server."

"There's a critical need for corporations to tie together valuable financial data from the specialized applications and data marts they've been developing for the last 15-20 years," said Tom Tortolani, VP Products for Star Analytics. "Until now, these individual repositories represented the end point, limiting reporting and analysis to a handful of decision makers. During the recent Customer Advisory Board meeting, we received overwhelming validation from key accounts that describe Star Integration Server as the next step in evolving these systems and engaging a much larger audience in the planning process. I'm excited to take on the customer advocacy role and continue growing adoption for a product that is driving the agility and competitive advantage of the world's leading companies."

Tortolani is considered a key contributor in the creation of the Business Intelligence and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) markets based on his achievements at Hyperion and Arbor Software. Responsible for product vision and roadmaps, he managed multiple product lines and more than 20 product releases of the market-leading Essbase product family.

Tortolani joins star from Skytide. As Vice President of Product Management, he was responsible for its enterprise analytics and reporting solution that allows Fortune 1000 companies to monetize rich media content.

Prior to Skytide, Tom was Vice President of Product Management at Aceva Technologies, where he drove the product vision and requirements for its leading edge Credit and Collections software. The company was later acquired by Sungard.

Tom's foray into the software industry started at Pilot Executive Software/Thorn EMI Computer Software where he drove decision support system implementations and multidimensional data analysis product requirements. Early in his career, Tom worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Target Stores where he developed reporting, planning and forecasting applications.

Tom is the primary inventor on US patent 6,317,750 for advanced multi-dimensional navigational techniques. He holds a BA degree in Economics from Bowdoin College.
