PFIZER SELECTS STAR ANALYTICS' STAR INTEGRATION SERVER

Used as Key Component of Pfizer's Financial Systems

(NYSE:PFE) has selected Star Analytics' Star Integration Server (SIS) as an essential architectural component of their global financial consolidation system, based around the Hyperion (NSDQ:HYSL) Business Performance Management Suite of applications.

Using Hyperion Financial ManagementTM (HFM), Pfizer Corporation is able to consolidate their entire worldwide financials in just five days, and extract and update the consolidated results into their financial data warehouse overnight to satisfy their required corporate reporting standards. According to Shami Reddy, Senior Business Analyst, "With the enormous volumes of data in our global consolidated data set, using Star Integration Server was the only way we were able to perform the extractions from HFM in the required time window. Star Analytics worked closely with us and our Hyperion consultants, Decision Support Technologies (DST) to ensure a successful implementation."

Just as consolidating the data in HFM is a key part of Pfizer's financial consolidation strategy, getting that consolidated data into their financial data warehouse is essential to their corporate reporting requirements.
