SYMANTEC CORPORATION SELECTS STAR ANALYTICS' STAR INTEGRATION SERVER (SIS)

SIS Used as Key Component of Symantec's Financial System

Star Analytics, Inc. announces that Symantec Corporation (NSDQ:SYMC) has selected Star Analytics' Star Integration Server (SIS) as a vital extension of their Hyperion (NSDQ:HYSL) Business Performance Management Suite of applications.

According to Cindy Lee, Senior Manager of Symantec's Hyperion systems, "Star Integration Server is an affordable software package that provides a two-pronged solution: Increased performance for financial applications, and lower total cost of ownership. Buying SIS was an easy choice for us."

Symantec has been using Hyperion BPMTM applications as key components in their financial reporting and analytical strategy since 1995. Currently they have over 800 users in 36 countries using the planning, forecasting and consolidation capabilities of their Hyperion BPM suite. To achieve tight coupling between their Hyperion BPM applications and other financial systems, Symantec is already using Star Integration ServerTM (SIS) from Star Analytics. SIS allows Symantec to create seamless, reliable, and automated sharing of data between Hyperion PlanningTM and Hyperion Financial ManagementTM, and reporting applications such as Hyperion IntelligenceTM and their data warehouse.
